Saratoga Woods is a beautiful neighborhood located inside of Jefferson County. Located off of Taylorsville Road, Saratoga Woods offers a convenient location for its residents. The subdivision is located just 2 miles from I-265, 3 miles from I-64, and close to 15 miles from Downtown and the Louisville International Airport. The neighborhood started development in 1993 by developer R.J Thieneman who purchased the land from Cumberland Federal Savings Bank. Once development had started, Saratoga Woods began to feature in Homearama the following year which drew plenty of attention to the neighborhood. Before the completion of building, lots could be purchased for as low as $35,000. Home prices were in the range of 140-200K after completion.

Saratoga Woods also began development on their estate section in the late 1990s. The estate section featured larger lots, which ultimately led to larger homes. The estate section was two separate sections of development at the time, but are now all labeled as the Estate of Saratoga Woods. The subdivision’s new estate section featured beautiful scenery, large trees, and fall-away lots were on display. After completion in the early 2000s, the subdivision was home to 661 homes. Although building finished years ago, this subdivision is still one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Jefferson County.
